Abstract

The Central and State Government of India proclaimed several programmes for the upliftment of the backward society. The
study aims at 10 selected Governmental schemes and their effectiveness to the BPL people residing at Karthigappally
Taluk. For this motive, 200 respondents were surveyed and arrived at an interpretation that most of the respondents are not
familiar with these selected schemes.
