The impact of e-governance among rural people: a study in south kerala

Abstract

The "e-governance can be elaborated as providing government services with the help of ITC. Digitalization can be
basically using new technologies for carrying administrative facilities and exchange of information. This research paper
consists of e-governance and its influence in the life of middle aged rural people in Kerala. This paper contains details of
different online services of Kerala government and central government. It also tries to find out the effectiveness of Akshaya
centers in fulfilling it aims of digital literacy in Kerala. Data were collected from 200 respondents from different part of the
south Kerala. this paper separately analyses the awareness of different central government online applications like Digi
lockers, TAAL, UMANG. This also involves the comparison of the present services with the traditional services that
respondents experienced earlier. Through this paper try to find out how the e-governance affect the growth of the country.
The opinions and satisfaction of the respondents about the e-governance is measured in this study. The study also talks
about single window system and its importance in student’s life of Kerala. It also checks the significance of E-Pos in ration
shops in Kerala.
