Facial acknowledgment (or face recognition) is a kind of biometric programming application. A Facial Recognition (FR)
system is a computer application for automatically identifying or verifying a person from a digital image or from a video
source. Most widely Principle Component Analysis (PCA) algorithm is used for face recognition. But in 2D (Two
Dimensional) PCA it has major drawbacks such as losing image details, large complexity and suffer from intra-class pose
variations. To overcome this problem 3D (Three Dimensional) Face Recognition is used. A new system for 3D Face
Recognition is an effective method to automatically extract face recognition, which mainly depends on the changes in pose
and illumination. High Altitude Acute Response (HAAR) Wavelet is a grouping of rescaled "square-molded" capacities
which together frame a wavelet family or premise. The Automatic Face Recognition (AFR) can be thought as a very
complex object recognition problem, where the object to be recognized is the face. The above all are some of the research
in the Face Recognition methods.
