Abstract

An Image Fusion Algorithm based on the activity measures like Spatial frequency and Visiblity for fusing multi focus
images. Image fusion has become a method for number of real time applications to derive the formal solutions in Medical
imaging, Robot vision, Aerial and Satellite imaging, Digital camera application. Image fusion is the method of combining
related information from two or more images into a single fused image. The final image will be more informative. The
medical image fusion is an important for efficient diseases diagnosis from multimodality, multidimensional and multi
parameter type of images. The proposed system aims to design a multimodality medical image fusion using wavelet and
NSCT fusion techniques. The source images from different modalities are registered and preprocessed for noise removal.
The preprocessed images to be fused first and decomposed into high frequency and low frequency bands. Soon after the
decomposed coefficients are fused using appropriate fusion rules.
