This research was accomplished to investigate the possible role of IL-22 in regeneration damaged tissue that results from
the replication of EBV in epithelial cell. The study aimed at the evaluation of the level IL-22 in the serum of patients
infected with EBV and determined the related of IL-22 with age. the sample divided into 4 groups 23 Symptoms , 14
Hodgkin lymphoma , 24 seropositive and 17 control, carried here after diagnosed with EBV VCA IgM, IgG and the level
IL-22 were evaluated by employing the (ELISA) assay. The results revealed that serum levels of IL-22 were significantly
decreased in symptoms group compared with seropositive while there was no significant statistical between serum level of
IL-22 in other groups also the mean concentration of IL-22 (28.27 ±12.92) was statistically higher at age group (30-40) in
Seropositive compared with other groups while there was no statistical difference between the study groups at age (< 19,
19-29,>40).
