Abstract

Weather forecasting has vital impact in our day-to-day life. Previous weather predictions are done by mathematical models
which is complicated and had very less accuracy rate. In this work, we create weather prediction models using a machine
learning algorithm which aims at high classification rate. This weather predictive model is used to classify the weather
states and find out the quality of air in atmosphere. The prediction is done by training the model with training data. Model
training is done by using machine learning libraries like pyspark, H2o, sci-kit learns. This weather prediction models
classify them as sunny, normal and rainy. It also predicts the quality of air and classifies them as good and poor. Our work
includes the development of web-based platform and SMS alert system if quality of air is poor.
