Human resource is an important resource for any organization and in the changing time, it has gained more importance. All
most all Organizations are finding it hard to match their requirement of the human resource with the availability of skilled
human resources. Organization are not only using the services of the various consultant to help them in finding a right
match but also trying all other means to make a balance. Once the organization finds the right type of person, it is more
important that the person remains with the organization for a long term. Retention of employees has become a vital factor
of concern. The organization should understand their human resource as their intellectual capital. To retain them for a
fairly long term necessary measures should be taken. Their demands and suggestions should be considered in regular
intervals. They should be having performance appraisal. It is very important for any organization to develop appropriate
strategies so that the human resource remains in the organization. The organization should be equipped to deal with this
human resource; the equipment is the proper HR strategies. These HR strategies have become very important in the present
time, where there is a dearth of the talent. Still we find that not all the organization are ready to adopt the HR strategies and
to have a proper system to deal with the human resources. This paper focuses on the importance of the HR strategies and
how important HR strategies are in the times to come. The paper also tries to deal with the barriers in the implementation
