Abstract

The management of Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Center seems to have understood well the need for the
employees’ development for the hospital’s overall development. The Human Department of Meenakshi Mission Hospital
and Research Center has been named “HUMAN POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT”. The head of the
Department has also been designated as General Manager-Personnel and Human Resource Department. For effective
organization of training programmes, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Center has a Training Manager and an
assistant. Personnel function starts with the recruitment, for this the department gets requisitions from various other
departments. On the basis of which they go for recruiting. Infact, a huge number of applications are pouring in for every
kind of job available there in the hospital. Human Potential Development Department staff separates them into category
wise, qualification wise and month wise. They are kept in order for easy reference. Even if that is not enough or satisfied
they go for advertising in newspapers about vacancies. Candidates are tested in various ways. For technical staff posts
written tests equipment operating tests are conducted. For everyone personel interviews are conducted.
