Building Self-efficacy through Integrated Learning in MBA Education: A Review

Master‟s degree in management should impart a special set of skills needed for a manager to ensure business success factors
like a magic wand enabling him to create, maintain and retain relationships, internal and external. The management expertise
a student acquires must enable him to develop, integrate, think, communicate, interpret, analyze information, conceptualize
and derive business strategies and arrive at the most possible and optimum decisions. He is a trained to handle multitasking,
setting objectives and implementing and developing learning talents and ensuring their career growth, with a sense of
ownership, commitment and integrity. In other words, modern B-school education needs to provide the quintessential
technical, interpersonal and conceptual skill required to manage the most active and learning organizations in trade,
commerce and technology of the modern days. In short, the B- education needs to help and equip the student with the skill to
surmount the unfriendly landscapes of the dynamic corporate world with commitment, confidence, perseverance and a
positive attitude. Building self-efficacy among management students will contribute to the development of efficacious
outlook and behaviour. The impact of socio demographic factors is of great interest to educators and mentors to do and undo
its imprints to facilitate nurturing of efficacies essential at the work place.
