Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and the various eye complications associated with it are a complex set of disorders with multifactorial etiology, in which both genetic and environmental factors play pivotal roles. Approximately 415 million people
across the world were diagnosed with Diabetes in 2015 and figure is projected to rise to 642 million by 2040.In this
research work focuses to clinically evaluate the morphology of macula in patients with diabetic retinopathy with or without
maculopathy, correlate the best modified pictorial perception with fovea chunkiness, correlate the clinical findings of
fundus examination of macula with Optical Coherence Tomography analysis, correlate mean duration of diabetes with
Optical Coherence Tomography analysis, correlate HbA1C levels with Optical Coherence Tomography analysis, correlate
the grading of Diabetic retinopathy with Diabetic maculopathy on OCT, correlate the foveal thickness with morphology of
macula on OCT evaluation.
