The dielectric constant and electrical conductivity of zinc oxide nanocrystallites are found to be frequency dependent. The
dielectric constant measured at low frequencies is anomalously large at room temperature but decreases to a limiting value.
But the value of dielectric value was different for undoped zinc oxide nanocrystallites when compared with copper doped
zinc oxide nanocrystallites. The electrical conductivity verses frequency curve represents grain interior and grain boundary
effects for undoped and copper doped zinc oxide nanocrystallites. Optical studies are analysed using UV- spectroscopy.
