There is about 2.78% of the population suffering from vocal impairment. They generally communicate with others either
by using hand gestures or expressions. These hand gestures can be understood only by few people that restrict them from
effective communication with others. This project proposes an idea to improve their communication. This system enables
conversion from motion of finger to speech. Initially some commonly used words are stored in the database. The bending
movement of the fingers will be sensed by the sensors and the information is sent to the microcontroller. Then the
corresponding word comes out of the speaker. In case if the person is not able to hear, mobile phone via wireless Bluetooth
is used to display the words in an LCD display.
